Do your favorite pair of blue jeans or pants become too small or large or have holes? Don’t throw them away. Recycle those old pair of jeans into a new purse. A blue jean purse can be very easy to make. You can easily customize your purse to add any need features that you want.
The seat of your jeans can become a purse.
The pocket will double as side pouches. Any hole can be covered with the materials or iron on designs.
1: Cut the pants under where the butt part of the pants would be. If the butt part is larger than you want your purse to be, cut the pants just under where the pockets are. Be careful to pull the inside front pocket up to the don’t get cut.
2: Sew the legs shut.
3: Cut a strip out of the left over pant leg. Make the strip twice as wide as you would like the purse strap to be.
4: Fold the strips in half and sew together.
5: Sew the ends of the strap to the waste side of the jeans.
The pockets of the jeans become outside compartments of the purse.
